Sweet Carolina Labradoodles

Pedigree Quality Breeder

Matilda helping DaphneOur Matilda is a proven and quality breeder with the Australian Labradoodle Club of America.

Matilda is our doodle princess and must be involved in everything I do around the house. She is my shadow, and I love having my Labradoodle constantly by my side. She craves attention in a lady-like manner. Using her paws like hands to touch our faces, hands, shoulders. Or, wherever she needs to touch us to remind us to love on her. Matilda is also my nighttime snuggler.

Everyone who has met Matilda knows she Loves puppies. ALL puppies, not just her own. When her sister Daphne and her daughter Lucy have litters, she is busy helping to care for them and check on them. She cleans them and plays with them. She is like our very own built-in puppy nanny.

At her shoulders, she is 15 inches high and weighs a solid 18-19 pounds.

Matilda’s doodle wavy fleece coat is incredibly soft. She has a brown nose, and her once hazel eyes are now amber. Creating an effect that makes you feel she is almost human when she stares into your own. She and our Charlie throw cream and apricot labradoodle puppies. We cannot wait to breed her with Chipper and see the dark apricot and red doodle puppies that will be the result.

Matilda’s Labrodoodle Pedigree

Matilda follows in the footsteps of her legendary mother and father, Primetime’s Ella and Whispering Winds Augie Doggie. They belong to the wonderful Jenny Blume at Swinging Gate Labradoodles. This duo throws beautiful litters, of which Matilda proves to be a perfect example. Sweet Ella is now retired, but Matilda carries on her work with her own stunning labradoodle pups.

Why is medical testing necessary?

Hip and elbow dysplasia and inherited eye diseases can be controlled by selective breeding programs as offered by the Australian Labradoodle Club of America. These tests ensure that generations of breeding animals do not pass on these genetic defects to their offspring.

When you purchase a puppy registered with the ALCA, you know that the labradoodle has been bred with the highest quality of health in mind.

Obtaining Certification

To receive certification, here at Sweet Carolina Labradoodles we schedule our pups appointments after they turn ten months old. This age ensures they are practically developed and will test accurately.

We live out in the country. Thus, we must plan a full day  travel to Charlotte, NC. Our favorite veterinary specialists practice there.

The first test for hip and elbow dysplasia is a procedure requiring several hours as the doodles are given light anesthesia to have a thorough examination.

After our labradoodle wakes, we then visit a canine eye specialist for a detailed examination of the eye. The labradoodle is then registered with the Canine Eye Registration Foundation (CERF).

Upon receipt of pleasing results.

We send the paperwork into the ACLA. Pay the registration fee. And our new doodle breeder is official!

Our club’s health requirements ensure the health of our puppies. Our adoptive families will gain a quality pet to enjoy for years to come.
